My 2.1 Zvh project is nearly done. Has anyone here had experience of how they drive?? I'm running Wossner forged pistons so will take a fair bit of boost. I'm a bit worried about the gearbox giving up, what is the max power I should run to have any chance of keeping the standard box in 1 piece?

my old 2.1 frst had 250 brake just under 300 lb/ft and lunched most boxes except the stg2+, which it didnt have time to destroy as the ALS went through the valves instead lol

if you have a standard box then just upgrade it, otherwise you will be running about 4psi !

i have no experience of zvh engines but ive had a couple of escort rsts and the standard gearboxes are pants to start with i would guess driving gearbox sympathetic 200 bhp 200 lbft is the limit

 

As stated above you will need an uprated box anything over 200hp
