i thought i would start some off these threads from start to finish as ive got afew to get posted up & still finish lol
so here we have my mk1 escort estate,since i seen escortnutters it made me want one,i had a old escort twincam so i made a start on it
how it was

the next bit was to work out were to cut the roof & move it back,once i done that i filled in the middle part with plasticard & milliput,i didnt take any pics once i cut it of but here is some at the first stages


then i started with the car body filler




the shape is looking pretty good at this point but still more work to be done.
i gave it a quick light paint to see how the shape was but still wanted work


then i made a front bib spolier, also wanted some mexico front style wings so i added abit of a lip on the arch's


once all shaped it was ready for paint so on went the primer




& some colour







now was time to start the best bit,rebuild


the car was going to have rs2000 side decals but in the end i wanted mexico decals,so they arrived from model-motorvations & i got to it,they are spot on & suit the estate so much


looking at the car with the parts going back on something seemed odd, i think it was the wheels,they just didnt look wright maybe it was the colour,so i poped out the centers & used the old twincam chrome caps.
straight away it looked 100% better





then once most things was done it was the engine to sort out,i love oldskool fords with cossie power so it just had to be


going to paint the rocker cover soon & need to get these rear decals stuck on

apart from afew things its nearly there, just needs the windows fitting i made & the bonnet back on oh & touching up as i chipped alittle bit.
