well basically was on the look out for a nice s2 or cossy for ages saving and saving lol and when this one came up cheap i had to have i know its not massive spec and immaculate like most on here but im over the moon with it and hopefully by the end ill have it exactly how i want it my favourite colour too so thats a bonus well here it is........


















few pics for now it need a little bit work one back arch starting to rust up and a patch on front arch where its been lowered to much in the past and rubbed paint off ill get pics up later and my plans but for now tell me what you think people cheers

cheers glenn so do i id love to get to the meets ect in it but the thing thats stopping me is the car has started smoking now im not all that good with these and as its my first cossy dont know what it could be its grey/white smoke quite heavy on startup then gets better when running a while but still smokes!! so it'll be getting rebuilt when the monys get saved

 

LOOKS very nice mate but get get rid of that fillter it looks shit . the rest of the car is very nice and i hope you have some good fun in it

 

could be valve steam seals .. wot dose it do when you come off the gas and pull up

i know mate ive got a samco elbow hose alreay just looking for a cheap grp a filter to put on but its not priority at the moment mate but it will be going a journey lol!

 

yeah ive been told the valve stem seals could be it but the cars tax and mot ran out last month so havent really drove it anywhere apart from on and off the drive so dont know what the smokes like while driving and dont want to re-mot it till im 100% happy with it

 

allso take the pipe of the turbo that gose onto the cooler and see if there is any sine of oil in there if so it could be coming from the turbo

Cossies mostly go wrong when there not built or setup properly mate, build it once and do it right the first time

 

yeah am hoping to have most of the money saved very soon to start the rebuild then when its done itl be taking a trip to msd its my dream car so want to do the best i can to keep it as nice as poss

cheers people aye picked it up for a very bargain price so once i get all the bits sorted itl be a canny car with amount ive had to spend

 

alrite people well not much of an update but defo getting my engine out next weekend ive sorted an engine crane and my mate who knows whats hes doing is giving me a hand so the rebuild will begin shortly so ill get plenty of pics and keep updating this cheers for all the comments so far

either really mate i could get the engine fitted back in but i think if someone bought it then they would take then engine out anyways to get it rebuilt or wotever it needs?? had a few pms about breaking it but really wouldnt know how to do it i think i would make a decent amount tho some nice bits on it koni's,new turbo,pace cooler, and turbo cooler ect ect

 

the fact its got no mot or tax etc will massively effect the price down to maby 2k, maby end up breaking it

 

If your gonna get rid, its worth more in bits mate, there is a couple of places do engines in North East, Cleasby's in Durham 0191 3782407 and engine servies in Dunston 0191 460 5256. If engine is out its gonna be cheaper to start with less labour.

 

yes the engine is out mate so thats a bonus then! and i really dont know what it needs could be a cheap fix maybe, id much rather keep it and get it going then have to sell it tbh. cheers ill keep them both in mind!

 

yeah i know mate i think if i can get a permanent place to keep it ill just plod on with it and get it finished or at least tax mot ect like you say then see whats what let me know about the engine builder still tho please if he could do it ill keep the car for defos!!
