Default which stand alone ecu

Currenlty fitting a z28net (vectra vxr engine ) in a different car. Now I want the ecu to be as cleaver as the original canbus ecu and not have to down grade from the original spec. So my lists of what the ecu must be able to do is
full individual coil packs X 6
fly by wire throttle
full boost control
variable valve timing control
knock control
dual wide band
also conect to stack dash or simlar

The above are the main requirments. I want to use car the for trips to the ring and track days so important that the ecu works well and drives well in traffic plus balls out.

any help would be great

A Motec M600 seems to be able to do most of what you require, except for knock control. If you setup the ignition correctly in my opinion you do not need knock control.
You may need a dash from Motec in stead of the Stack one.
Download the software (for free) from www.motec.com and see for yourself what it is capable of. You do need to purchase extra options besides the standard M600.

Another option would be a Pectel ecu, something like a SQ6M.

I wouldn't bother with(and didn't) knock control, the way it drives is 99% down to the ability of the mapper you use, so see what's in your area.
I personally use the emerald K3, mapped by emerald, and it is perfection vastly better on power and economy emissions that the std ford ecu was(even after live set up).
It also has can bus.

Just seen the link g4 xtreme on thor racing looks a good ecu for the money and seams to do all the things a motec does but alot cheeper any thoughts on the above ecu thanks so far http://www.link-ecu.co.uk/xtremeg4.php

If you decide to go down the Emerald route, ive got a few month old Emerald K3 system with the triple map switch for sale!!!!
