Did you change the whole metering unit or only the bottom half?
Very strange problem if you changed the whole thing!
lol
Could only be injectors not opening... but all 4?? Doubtful, they normaly leak not jam shut!
Did the new metering unit come with a EMFPA (black box on right hand side of MU) or are you using the one off your old one?

Hello mate,
Really sorry i never got back to you with the metering unit you asked about, it seems to have gone missing
but i could have always shoved it in my lock up and forgotten....
Any how, if you have tried two metering units with no joy, i suspect your problem will be with a fuel regulator (if the same one was used both times), fuel accumulator or the fuel pump. With the plug disconnected from the black box on the side of the fuel distributor fuel should still come out of the injectors when the flap is depressed.
Is it possible that both meting units were pants?

Rob,
Sounds like a silly one. but is the car timed correctly? My friend had this problem for ages and it turns out the car was 180 degrees out on the timing so the fuel wasn't being pumped through.
Just a thought if its a recently rebuilt engine or something.
