Finding it hard to get hold of a FRS engine, is there any other engines I could put in other than a YB, like a zebec turbo or something.

Or can someone direct me to a FRS engine?

Me and my brother managed to find 2.. although we haven't got the 2nd one yet - it's still in a focus waiting on insurance!

They average at Ł1500! Both of ours have done around 50k

This price included engine, manifolds, turbo and alternator. Be careful when asking a breaker for an engine, because a full engine to them isn't one with manifolds or a turbo or any ancillaries!

 

Just buy a cheap/low mileage blacktop zetec, just needs new rods/pistons and a few other small changes and its then basically RS engine anyway.

 

spot on blacktop zetec's are exactly the same
throw in sum forged pistons and conrods and there ya go!

if any 1's interested i got a frs cylinder head inc valves, cams, pullys and a knackerd block with 3 pistons 3 rods!!!!!!!!
