I really don't see the point, just buy a normall RS...paint it black....remap....and you save quite a few grand.

because any one can do that, but not every one can have a 500,
why have a replica when you can get the real thing?
surely its the same reason the rs500 sierra was more sort after than the 3door?
if i remember correctly there wasnt a huge amount of a power difference between them was there?

orders placed yes but none are sold as how can you buy somthing when you dont even know how much it is ?

 

and the oher half will be bought by collectors that will sit them in their garage/showroom and not clock up any miles on them as part of their hobby and a long term investment. Sadly I think we wont see too many on the roads or at shows.

I think too many folks are thinking "what would a delivery mileage BDA, RS1800 or RS500 be worth now" and are trying to do the Bonkers thing. I think in the future there will be quite a few low low mileage examples of newer RS's kicking about due to this outlook and therefore the premium the owners would like wont quite be there.

 

Cant wait to see one at a show.

that few k you save will be lost when it comes to sell on,depreciation on the mk2 rs will exceed that what youd pay extra for this car.i dont like it,i think ford are just making a few extra k on the cars they have left.its not that its got much extra bits.bar paint/wrap and a remap,even the seats are not extra as your paying for the seats in the original mk2,just because there different colour doesnt make it more money,RS tax imo
