I was told that it cant be welded back up and id need a new one, is that right?

It seems a shame because the whole lot is still silver, cant see any rust

 

pics would help me decide as i cant comment on something i cant see, but if there is no rust and there is some thing to weild to then i cant think why it cant be weilded back together once cleaned and prepped...

 

Well his words were "you cant weld over a weld" whether or not he means its not possible or they just wont do it because its alot less money in it for them

 

its been done before, it can be a bit more difficult but as long as u grind the old weld down and clean and pred the surface then i dont see why u cant, i could be wrong i am only new to weilding and am self tought but i have seen it done before,
