whatever u find easier to be honest.. i prefer to take the engine out and leave the gearbox in its only like 6/7 bolts that hold the gearbox to the engine if i can remember correctly

just undo ur engine mounts leave the gearbox mounts in and just hoist the engine out

good luckk

I used to take the box out and leave the engine in place on my old RST. I changed the clutch on an XR3 i had years ago and just unhooked to box and swung it with the shafts still in and changed clutch but that was a bit of a mission.

Leave then engine in and drop the box, Last time I did mine took 2hour from pulling on to my mates drive till the car was back on the floor, including, fag break, zoot breaks and tea breaks, yes me and my mates dont work long with out breaks, the box pretty much drops off!
