Default xr3i on 3 cilenders

Hi all im new got a g reg 1.6 xr3i cab took of the head replaced the head gasket put it all back together. Now it runs on 3 also had to make my own inlet gasket (mills not open lol). Sounds like the compression is good got good spark ect but when i take no 3 injector plug off-on it makes no difrence? bad injector?. Could it also be my hand made cupbord gasket? fouling the injector. I was told that if it was if i use carb cleaner rev it up should run on all 4 i didetn have any left so he saisd i could try wd40 but same only 3 lol i think carb cleaner would have been better mind u any help would be gr8 thx

if the injector isn't working, it could be a damaged wire in the loom.
easy way to test is to put a direct feed to the injector and listen to it clicking.
if it clicks when power is applied then it's working fine.
carb cleaner and all that won't help at all.

positive and negative feed from battery one to each terminal, don't hold them on too long though as they can burn out.

Ok quick update the injector did click so i too off the home made inlet gasget and did the cupbrod test and all the injectors are working fine so i geuse its down to my gasget because there was quite a bit of over trim perhaps bloking the injectors path? causing it to run very rough?

You need a proper inlet manifold gasket first! Then make sure that injector is not blocked easiest way to do this is to swap with another cylinder and see if the problem moves to this cylinder, where have you put WD40 that will do more harm than good!

I would do a compression check on that cylinder.

Have you tried swapping plugs, you have healthy spark outside the cylinder but the plug is under no compression, so it could be a weak plug swapping with another would show this.

Totally stupid question - but did you make sure you put the inlet rocker for that cylinder? If the inlet valve isn't opening this would cause all the symptoms you describe.
