thermostat housing (bufty)
im doin a turbo conversion on my 3i stripping parts down my thermostat hosing it well grubby
what can i do to it? paint? powder coat? polish?
what have you done to yours

Painted mine silver mate and then run the brass part of the sensor plug on the polishing wheel at work so it come up mirror like gold.

throw it away and get a 1400cvh one. Then polish it.

I spent a week of evening making mine mirror finish on my polishing wheel, then painted black out of boredem ended up looking really good, like black glass.
How ever you fancy it and how you have your engine bay finished.

id also like to know lol think polishing is in order then might do the inlet aswell

Ive got a powdercoated standard inlet manifold in that chrome silver finish if anyone wants to buy it, just wanted to add that lol.

I sand blasted mine then painted it Silver followed by 3 coats of clear coat, came up lovely

think im gonna go down the polished route on the xr, still aint seen a 1.4 one but i might be gettin something a bit more unusual, if my mate finds it

Plus everything else in the engine bay lol, altho end result looks good. Thinking about doing all my chrome satin black, much easier to keep on top of.
