i have a hp550 on vista,booted it up today started to boot up then brings up options safe mode an that tryed all of them but all i seem to get is a blank screen and a cursor and thats it,cant log in or anything tryed a few things but nothing.
any ideas on this?

The Ex's did this, think it was a HP jobbie too.
Had to reboot it using a boot disc downloaded from the web, lost all of her files unfortunately.

Although someone may come along and tell us that there was another way to get round it!
But this was the easiest option at the time.

If no help look through the thread links

 

try this...

wen u get to the screen with just the cursor press

ctrl alt del

then find the logoff option, choose it

then just login

this should work if its the problem that i think it is
