my rs turbo has been off the road for about 12 years. drove it tonight to my mechanic just 2 miles away to get co2 set for mot, the car wouldnt rev over 2500rpm and when i got to mechanics and opened the bonnet the turbo and manifold were glowing red. what could this be?

 

Sound like the turbo could be siezed!
Whip the boost hose off and try to spin it.

 

make sure the actualtors opening and closing aswell
