Heeeelllllllllllloooooooooo
Hi All
The name's Dave, semi retired Auto Transmission Specialist (Manuals as well). Moved to NW Scottish Highlands 2 years ago, have been busy with groundworks around the property and building new workshop
Started running a waterski school and disco karaoke for the tourists up here, as no one was doing it and these 2 things were hobbies of mine as well as all the "Petrol Head" antics, Fast Fords, Hot Rods wiv V8's, Hot Rod Boats Bikes etc etc.
Workshop almost finished, well it would have been 2 weeks ago except the only bit I didn't do was the Concrete Base and the donut who did didn't get the drainage right, so when I came to install me brand new 2 post lift the anchor bolts wouldn't hold cos the concrete was naff on one side
So yours truly has had to dig up and re lay a 1m square of the floor, getting all me equipment and tools covered in dust, but also dig a trench all round the footings outside and run proper drainage
Still, just gotta wait 2-3 weeks now before I can pull the anchor bolts up, clean everything, and repaint the floor and some of the walls lol !!
Then I can start me new car project once I've caught up on a few jobs on the "daily drivers" .........
Which is my reason for ending up here
The plan is to build a "Rally Car", Ford based, 24V Cosworth engine, possibly small turbo (5 - 7 lb boost), def RWD maybe 4x4. I intend to use it for club level motorsport events up here, Road and Stage, Autotests etc. Already have sweet engine in a Scorp Estate which I intend to break up a turbo and intercooler, and a few 4x4 Sierra 2.9 bits.
A few years back I built a 24V 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth Rep so know the conversion well.
I intended to do a Cossie Escort or Focus, but good shells for these are going for silly money, then I stumbled upon Puma's on Fleabay and these seem to go for reasonable dough with busted cambelts....Then I found the beautiful Cosworth Widearch Puma started by Taffy and finished and up for sale by another guy on here
......
Hence Here I Am

Definitely gonna build me a 24V one, not sure yet whether she be 4x4 or RWD, will wait and see once I get me a Puma later in the summer, and start measuring up.
OK so sorry if all the waffle has bored ya..... but Hi, and that's me arrived here lol,
Cheers Dave
