please let this be the right place

new here and very new and in-experienced in Vehicle Mods and builds so im here to gain inspiration and general help and tips.

I very recently brought a MK 6 Escort Van that i would like to build up and give an RS feel and look to it, so im really not sure if im actually in the right place as you all seem to be car owners, ive searched for Van only sites that offer help and advice but have so far found nothing.

with this in mind ive tried to set up a forum of my own aimed specifically at the Van owner http://fvoc.yuku.com/ but its not really taking off or helping (il remove link if not appropriate)

As mentioned im very new to this and naive enough to have been sold parts that are of absolutely no use to me.

Id like eventually to modify the engine from the 55diesel engine to a Turbo however not sure of costs or even how to go about doing this yet.

The majority of the work i will obviously have to source out so in theory my main aim is to gain knowledge so that when i do start having the mods done il know basically what im on about and not get blinded with usual Garage Mechanic explanations (no offence to Mechanics here lol)

oh and to give it the RS look it needs to have a body kit and again struggling to, not very much info available on this either.

I have put a new primed only bumper on the front however its a Fogged bumper which i believe to be the Si version (not sure)

well thats a little about me any help greatly recieved

in a nutshell i want to customise the van, ive been on one or two other sites and really struggling to find specific help for the van, one forum was just full of RS chavs i think and not much help at all.

There is so much info here i really dont know where to start looking for stuff thats specific to my needs.

ive decided to just ask and maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

My Van is dissappearing soon to have a face lift, Engine sorted first still not sure if im going to upgrade to a Turbo as its just a plain old 55diesel, im not really interested in speed its the look of the van im more interested in.

Im struggling to find any kind of info on the net regarding parts etc bodykit in particular.

Ive been told about one place but want to keep my options open and shop around a little.

Oh and im looking into converting the back of the van with a one piece rear door

if you can point me in the right direction on here where i might find info that would be great
