Regulator is what moves window up and down, it is DRIVEN by motor, diden't reliase both windows were not working, is other side of switch when pressed getting power could be faulty switches, if yes then will be wiring from switch to motor a connector perhaps which serves both windows.

Are you seeing power at the door connectors when you push the switch?

ive been out with a volt meter.

there is constant power at the switch black/yellow wire 12.5 volts with ignition on.

the wires that go to the motor blue and green

blue is up, green is down or the other way, cant remember

if i put a volt meter on either blue or green and press switch i only get 0.30 volts.

what does this mean.

As I say you need to check other side of switch with it closed to see what power you are getting there, if it mirrors your said 0.30V then will be dead switch. Could bridge the connection as a test as well.

ANy Mk5 Escort, Mk3 Orion and late Mk3 Fiesta would have the same switches.

Are the Escort switches individual then? Sierra rear window switches are the same as MK3 Fiestas the early ones at least. Escorts and Orions are the same owing to the Orion being a Escort saloon essentially.
