Anyone know about the DD temp correction equation in detail?

Default Anyone know about the DD temp correction equation in detail?



Graph here for a cavalier turbo engine running on a standard turbo, now I know for a fact its massively out, by about 50bhp probably in fact as the K16 on it is good for less power than a cossie T3 in reality.

The IT probe was clearly broken, as its reading 240 degrees C, which is even too hoot for the cup of tea some tuners use to get figures up

Now the SAE correction equation, which I would imagine the DD rollers probably use (or something very close to it) is obviously easy to find online and is this:



However I know for a fact that is only intended to be used up to a max of 35 degrees and will become innacurate after that, which obviously dyno dynamics are going to realise as well, so I was wondering if they put a ceiling on the correction used, ie does it get to 20% correction and just top out and not allow anymore, or does it keep going all the way upto 240 degrees?

What im trying to do, is see what the actual figures should have been based on if the real temp for IT was 13 like the measured AT was.

Anyone know enough about how they work to give me a realistic correction figure to multiply the whole graph by to get back to what it should have been?

chip....just did some quick numbers and in a worst case situation (i.e 40 degrees and low pressure (995)) the corection factor is only 2.2%

best case situation of intakes of 10 degrees and high pressure (1015) only give a reduction due to the factor of 6%

so 50bhp is pretty out of the question!

Its not measured 40 degrees mate, it has measured 240 degrees!

I want to know the correction factor to get back from 240 degrees C, to 13 degrees C
