As title really, i can get an upgrade right now but i dont want to except it if it means i have to be tied up in another 12month contract.

I was under the impression when you get a new phone you sign up again??

 

after the cool off period your tied to your contract for how ever long it stakes, although i think you can reduce the tariff and pay minimum for the remainder of the contract.

 

when you upgrade you upgrade for a further 12/18 months dependant on the contract and what is left on your current contract is added on to that one!

No of course not, thats the whole reason they can afford to subsidise the phone in the first place, because they recover that subsidy by collecting a period of line rental of 12/18/24 months or whatever.

Im not looking for another phone really, but if i was entitled to a new phone id have got it and sold it maybe.

Theres alot of good phones out now though
