Hi peeps. Just bought my latest sapphire that will be an ongoing project shall we say

My question is - Does anybody have any information on this car they could share with me ie, old owners, history, interesting stories, old photos, anything basically.

Car is a totally standard 2WD 90 G. When i say standard i mean everything even original exhaust. The interior is cloth but I have never seen another Sapphire with the same interior. The car is flint grey and whereas most 2WD cloths i have seen have all grey this one is grey centres with dark charcoal, almost flint grey in colour, outers, dark inserts in the door cards dark grey handles and dash and carpet. Was this more common than i think or was it a special edition interior for flint greys? Like i say never seen it before.

Any help with anything about this car greatly appreciated.

As far as i know they were only in the late 4x4s

 

Not got any at moment. Depending what time i get in tomorrow (if its dark ) will get some took. Anyone able to load them up for me as not clued up on uploading pics.

 

I believe this interior was only ever available on flint grey late 2wd saffs.Same interior as mine and iv only ever seen late flint 2wds with these seats.The centre section is a different pattern to a 4x4 seat.Definetly not a police interior.Very rare also iv only seen 2 others besides mine.Iv fitted leather in mine for the time being as mine had fag burns in it!

I was thinking the same along the lines of not seeing that interior before. Its a 90 registered 2WD so going on that you could be right bout it being late 2WD flinty's only that had it.

If it is rare better get a seat cover or 3 on it as the drivers seat is mint

Mines a 90 2wd also.Was gutted mine were tatty as i much prefered them to the leather i put in it now.Definetly put some covers over the seats!

I also have a 2wd 1990 g reg and it has the same dark seats,it also used to have a similiar reg ending like yours AOO.There are a few cars about with the darker trim

 

i have G784 AOO 2wd in white and it came with that interior aswell mate

 

Ive seen a couple of these coloured trims I always thought it was just a late 2wd trim, 1 of them funnily enough was in a saph with 00 on the end of the reg it was a megenta car not a flint one tho.

 

Close mine used to be G775AOO but mine has had a plate change a few years ago

 

Interesting must be a late 2wd interior then.Id like to put a good set back in mine if they ever turn up!

I was told it was one of 5/6 press cars, all ending in BOO, and there was one of each colour. It does kind of tie up as I've seen others being G** BOO etc
