My other halfs dad used to live on a 100ft motor topedo boat and was really nice that was until he died and left it to us

gave it to the marina for free as what a liability!!!! But having said that it looked a very nice home on the water
any idea of maintenance costs and what is the best material to have.....always thought it was cool but this thing had wood worm lol and bilge pumps on continous!!!!

a chap who was taking a coarse i was on a week months ago lived on one. from what he was telling me there is far too many draw backs for, even thought it sounded fun at first! apart from that brief encounter i dont know anyone who has ever done it
I watched a restoration programme and it was about a couple living on a house boat and it looked like a nightmare. with all the rules and reg's they had to follow etc

any history about it?was a big deal two weeks ago on bbc southern news,two had just been restored and are now moored at Portsmouth by the victory and you can go out in them,could be yours played a big part at the d day landings...........
