hi there i am goin 2 spray my black plastic trim on my car as its faded like this

but my question is do i need to finish it in laquer?

if u are using a metallic paint yes but if using a straight colour then no!! most cans of spraypaint unless metallic dont need lacquer on!!

Just make sure you key the bits up properly before you prime them otherwise it will start to peel off after a while

just buy some of that carbonfibre 3m tape stuf. trim the interior so it looks like carbon (y)

A heat gun used carefully brings faded plastics up really well, I did this to my old jetta x

You can just get away with spraying satin black onto it, have done that on a few occasions in the past!! But obcviously always good to prime first too ideally.

By key they mean sractch the surface properly either using wet and dry or scotchbrite!!
