Great result, good to see Class overcome guts & gusto that Liverpool have in abundance. Saw Ferdinand slated on this thread, what about Gerrard he was awefull today as was Torres after a free header in the opening minutes.

 

No arguments. think 1-1 was a fair score at half time, man utd were the better team in the second half and got the goal they deserved.

Why, he was our best defender in 2002 and we never gave away a single goal UNTIL he went off against Sweden injured in Germany. (Campbell and Cole then made that fuck up). Why on earth would you not take one of the record setting defenders in British football?

He's had a MASSIVE period of injury and is, along with Vidic just starting to get a nice run of games. How about you give him a chance first, seasons not over yet!!

Apart from leaving Torres completely unmarked (good finish) I don't think they had a single chance did they. VDS was practically played out of his box the whole time.

Darren Fletcher is awesome and that cross wasn't bad either, who would believe Scotland actually has one decent player on their hands? A real shame they aren't going to the world cup, he can play against any midfielder, any big game.

Liverpool are TERRIBLE. A really really poor team, i see nothing changing either, the players simply aint any good, no matter what Benitez does with them.

Torres is maybe the exception. Certainly not gerrard though, based on this seasons performances.

 

gerrard is awesome and if you think anything else you obviously haven't ever watched him, hes been poor this season but what do you expect when you have a team like that around you... best thing torrea and gerrard can do is get out of that sinking ship

United weren't at the real best but they still controlled the game. You had one chance the whole game, we had loads. Just didn't have the finishing boots on today. Its always a battle and never like United v Arsenal is, IE football played.

spurs are having a good season,if they get into the champions league you will need to strengthen your squad alot to cope with that and the league

 

Now im probably the biggest rafa hater you could ever find, ive been banging the drum for us to get rid him for years. but to be fair to him, he always plays stevie just behind nando, which is his position, i think today he just moved him out wide to accomodate bringing on aquillani. as far as his form this season, i cant pinpoint where its gone, he has had one or two injurys, but nothing major, he just hasnt been at the races. and the major problem with us, if stevie doesnt play well, we dont play well, thats been the case for many years. im not blaming him for where we are this season, far from it, im a firm believer thats rafa and his formations and tactics. were going to have serious problems next season, we need the champions league money to maintain the loan payments, so where were going to find the money ive got no idea, god forbid we have to sell nando, because we wont finish 4th, with spurs and man city in pole position for 4th, imho, we will finish 5th or 6th.

gerrard has no buy out clause in his contract so it would have to be an obscene ammount of cash and the same for torres 3 years left on his contract i think ?
