Default EsCos Air Con

Hi guys and girls. I was just wondering if anyone knows of an escort cossie that is fitted with an rs500 intercooler but still uses air con? The only reason i ask is because i am looking into converting my EsCos t25 to stage 1 but also want to fit the intercooler and retain the air con. I have been looking around and the only place i can find that does the full kit is rally design. You get the rad, intercooler and fans. Cheers

Radtec do an RS500 cooler, Alloy rad & slim fans that enable you to keep your AC. Try Dan @ RapidFord as he does these kits.

And did it all fit ok mate? A take it that the rs500 is slightly slimmer to a normal rs500 cooler so it all fits in is it?

its a very tight fit with the back of the fan casing being very close to the aircon pump pulley but with a bit if fettling and side to side adjustment it all goes in

Er, - I don't think a T25 Stage 1 needs an intercooler upgrade. I've got a stage 1 and it's fine with the standard intercooler. On the small turbo stage 1 is only an extra 40 bhp. GGR do a 300 brake conversion but even that retains the standard cooler, and by then you've maxed out the turbo MAF and injectors...

If you do fit one you may almost end up increasing the lag slightly because they'd be more air in the intercooler to compress.

I know what u mean markn. It is only a small increase in power so its maby just worth getting the stage 1 and leaving the rs500 cooler. I just want abit more power thats all. Iv got a k&n cone filter fitted and an exhaust so mite just go for the stage 1. Plus it saves me alot of coin

I used a large turbo standard intercooler with charge cooler and pace charge cooler kit for my small turbo ggr 300 bhp conversion and it worked a treat low temps no retard so very good then changed to radtec 500 cooler slimline fans etc to keep aircon but very tight fit but had to as now runin roller t4 and autronics for proper power. Have all the old intercooler and pace charge cooler kit etc in shed if you want to pm me
