question about petrol
i have a mk1 focus RS and currently run in on shells vpower fuel (which at the moment is already £1.28 ish) but with petrol due to go up again, i was wondering is it worth all that extra money? would normal fuel be fine,
so say you should always use to high performance fuel on cars like these others say it dosent matter as its not that higher performance car.
i just duno! car is adveragin 17mpg at the mo

i dont know if the rs is setup for v-power but if it is and/or has been tuned on v-power and you stick in 95 ron it will pink like buggery destroying the pistons and combustion chambers.
wanna switch to the cheaper stuff now then? lol

it even say on the inside of the cap 97+ ron you stupid fuck

17mpg = 17 x 11ga = 187 miles which is SHITE.
I get MINIMUM 230 and can be 330 on a motorway run! not even close to 17.
17 is evo territory.

Some people are just so fucking stupid. as if a label isn't enough they come and ask a public bb and offer themselves for ridicule!
mongdeo man i'm sure?

Standard Focus' have RON adjustment so they can compensate. Not sure about the RS models but if you cannot afford to put V-Power or even high octane fuel in then you shouldn't be driving it I'm afriad you said it wasn't your daily so simply don't drive it if that's the case. Turbocharged cars especially do not like standard fuel if they are designed to run on high octane stuff. My focus even though is a 1.8 was custom mapped at MSD on V-Power so have no choice but to use it and 1.8 blacktops are ten a penny but still don't fancy knackering it by being cheap.
i dont no why every1s going mad it was just a simple question about the downside of using the cheaper fuel, i didnt say i was going to, you no what car companys are like they tell you to put more exspensive stuff in to make more money ne way!

Frustrating night alone? No mate i had a rather nice night out with quite a few beers and ended the night nicely telling some fucktards on pf that they are being knobs

Why exactly do the car companies make more if you put in more expensive petrol that doesnt belong to them and hence make no money out of? ROTF
nope i didnt mention anything about a sticker all i said was would the normal stuff be fine and is it worth all the extra money, i sed u seemed abit of a cock because of the way your coming across i asked a simple question, i never said it shouldnt always be top fuel i asked what the diff was and if it was actually worth it.
Last Q...
Did you mis spell your username? Should it be Lukethepro? Thats a genuine question before you freak out
I wondered the same about mongdeo man. Surely it's be czech mate?

Here's a helpful post.
If you're bothered about the petrol costs then use tesco 99 ron which is only 5p/litre more than whatever their normal unleaded price is. In comparison V power is always 7 p more than NU.
Even better is Sainsbury 97 RON at 3p above their NU price.
I use both in my FRS.
In fact depending where i am it may be tesco, sainsbury, v power, or esso. Only difference i ever notice is the price!

I refer to the bit in red
I read it as a general question to everyone who uses super not just about his FRS but appreciate your frustration
ALSO my car says 97 only inside the fuel flap but the manual says otherwise so was suggesting someone check the FRS manual as at the time I had posted that nobody had established for certain that FRS are 97 only as from my experience the fuel filler sticker on a car isnt always right and nobody had stated otherwise
So really I dont see what the fuck you were moaning about as all you'd mentioned was the sticker. I was just offering clarification
