my zx9r c model engine lost oil pressure so i checked the oil pump drive shaft and it had sheared off , i got a new one from the dealers only 11 pounds fitted that and still no oil pressure .
i then took off the sump and were the oil pressure drive shaft goes into the centre of the engine casing theres a big hole were it should be attached . im just wondering is this a common fault or am i just unlucky .

 

not overly sure where the pump mounts but the C models where notorious for gearbox and input issues from the motor.
