hi all i'm after the paint code for jewel violet paint i'v just brought a shell painted init and i need to get some paint made up cheers.

 

is it esc cos violet?

but it list's two paint codes
.FORD EUROPE JEWEL VIOLET PEARL L/XSC2741CM 1993 - METALLIC
and
.FORD EUROPE JEWEL VIOLET PEARL XSC2741C 1993 - METALLIC

but whats the difference

Im 99% sure it was T4, ill double check tomorrow when I see my car.

 

It will be 2 different shades at a guess mate

FORD EUROPE JEWEL VIOLET PEARL L/XSC2741CM 1993 - METALLIC is probably a lighter shade

FORD EUROPE JEWEL VIOLET PEARL XSC2741C 1993 - METALLIC i would imagine is standard shade

Just a guess really based on the codes. I'll have a proper look tomorrow at work if i get chance.

I've had a look today but we've got a standard and dark shade on our system. But unfortunately no XSC codes to cross reference to.

I got the book out and had a look though and XSC2741 is jewel violet so thats the one. But that lists no varients. And as Paul said the code on the car should be T4, although the number isn't really that important.

I'd go with standard shade anyway even if they do list others where you get it from.

 

i see so i would tell my paint supplier that i need ford jewel violet T4?

dont suppose there is a small painted part of the car you could take off and take to the paint people to match?

 

Aye they should be able to get it from that, all it says on the vin tag is T4 for the colour.
