Thumbs up painting plastic

Hi ryan, easiest thing to use is a plastic aerosol bumper paint, you can get them from any motor factors, they do all colours ,just scotchbrite the plastic grill ,clean with some panel cleaner, and spray on, job done.

scotchbrite should give it a good enough key imo,not sure about the paint though.

Was looking for a few recent pics of your car and found this, did you spray the interior pieces in the end?

I sanded and sprayed my interior handles and door pockets last year, mine were also textured but had worn pretty bad.

Here's a few pics of mine I did last year:

They felt better smooth IMO.

you wont find anything that can dye it as plastic will not absorb anything

you have to paint it

so scotch pads to key it up, these will leave the texture finished as a scotch pad is like the green part of a washing up sponge

once its keyed up use a plastic primer or maybe an acid etch primer so the paint has something to stick to, you will need to key up the primer for the paint to stick them just use your colour of paint you want and depending on what colour use laquer after
