8.72secs 0-100mph on blown headgasket!!!!!!

Default 8.72secs 0-100mph on blown headgasket!!!!!!

had the main man round to day andy fisher from brooklyn ford (touring car mechanic from 1988)

another one gone from performance ford daddy bash took the head gasket out between 2 and 3 cylinders compression down blowing boost into water system leads me to beleive are the wrc headgaskets not built for the job? anyone else had problems running 34 psi of boost?

no,

is your block though studded ect,

my old car was 34 psi and never had any problems,

hi martin yeah long studded will be taking to bits in week to see whats happened not very happy car only done 1500miles since harvey gibbs fitted a wrc gasket for me and set it up on dyno not a happy man

bob murrey from scs built my old engine,

all you can do is as you say take it apart and try and find the problem,

Who fitted the long studs?

I have heard o f them not going down far enough if the block is'nt machined deep

enough for them,and then holds the head proud of the block.

I measured the long stud thread ,and depth in to the block when I built mine,

this was a good tip from scotty

That issue rears its head when the o'ring waist area is left slightly proud of the block decking. Your quite right and ive seen it myself on 2 occasions....
