bearings and shells

if the main bearings and conrod shells have a .25 stamped on them, does that mean they are .25mm oversize and the crank has at some point been reground?

In most cases yes but its alot easier just to get some one to check the crank over with a few micrometers or a vernier just to double check

same as mine mate got .25 on them means crank has been reground...
