I'd deffo go for an ap organic, all the paddle clutched I've had (ap & alcon) are a bitch in traffic and especially hill starts ! Next time my clutch needs replacing I'll go for an organic.

You wont get an organic one that will hold 220bhp without slipping. ive got a LUK that aparently holds 210bhp, but is slipping at 176bhp. i am running 200lbft of torque though. thats what you wanna go on. there is people out there that can modify a performance cover plate to give it more clamping pressure so you can hold more power and torque with an organic. but i dont have any contacts im afraid.

Pepole have used the organic AP racing organic with over 220 lb/ft, so this is the best option.

I have an AP paddle clutch on my fiesta rs its the same as the escort one i use my car every day and it is easy to drive with, My bro has a helix organic clutch on his escort and his is realy hard to drivr the pedal is very heavy and springy. The paddle calms down after a while so not so harch.

ive reserched this alot as ive always had to put up with slipping clutches cos i dont really want a 4 paddle as i use the car in traffic every day. it is possible to use and organic clutch over 220bhp, but like i said earlier it will probobly need a modified cover plate.

if anyone knows of an organic clutch that can handle that sort of power then let me know. i havent found one as of yet.

You can't compare your LUK clutch to the AP Racing organic kit. The LUK one is just crap.

I used to have an AP paddle friction plate wth a OE Ford cover plate, made the pedal lighter to press but still coped with the power (aprox 220bhp).
