The thread title should be "How many own a Mk2 Focus RS and has £20k+ on Finance?"

When I asked how much my mate was paying monthly for his, he said £600. I said what did you do put £1k deposit, he said "No, £2k"

Lol! That's one thing I WONT be doing to get a Mk2! Got about 10K, I reckon in the time it takes to double it, they should be hitting the sub-20K mark !

Fair play. I would be lying if I said my is fully paid for, however I did put a large deposit down and will soon have the money to pay it off if I so desire. Not bad in my book considering I got made redundant in November last year...

Back in a job now...

Had a look around a green one in my local dealers yesterday and the colour is stunning up close.
After looking on pistonheads im wondering if they arent all there made out to be , as there is more mk2's than mk1's forsale and most arent forsale to make a profit.

Would you mind PM'ing me with more specific details on that? As that's the kind of thing I'd be looking at doing.

I could pay cash for one, but not sure I fancy tying up so much cash in a brand new car. On that other hand, I certainly don't want to be forking out what some do on finance!

All depends on circumstances I think for people.last year I could have bought two outright now I couldn't buy two dustcaps for one!!!if you've got some disposable income and can afford one then why not?their quite a good investment really as they hold their money well second hand. Were all different I suppose as I've always put my money into my house and have probably missed out on a few things as such, like we go on holiday to Florida every two years rather than a holiday each year,I live in a really nice part of Swansea so my boy goes to a good school etc.where I used to work there were boys who lived in rented council houses and 2 up 2 down terraces in the valleys but had a new car for them, their missus and their kids and went abroad three times a year at least.horses for courses as they say.

Got my fw with lux pack2 2 weeks ago and cant keep out of it, part ex'd my evo 9 fq 340, which was 400hp, and didnt know quite what to expect with the focus. Its not quite as quick as the evo, but is much more refined and is far behind in performance. Love it!!

As far as I am aware your cant 'order' lowered seat sub frame.

You can however lower the standard item and gain an inch...
