But ive always wondered what XR stands for like Rs is rallye sport like xr2 or xr4x4 what does the XR bit stand for i just dont know .. was hoping you guys would no,, like i said it might just be me being stupid.

I always thought it stood for "Sports Rated" as in "LX" meaning "Luxury Sport" which was just Fords way of saying the LX has for example slightly harder suspension rates than say the popular plus.

e.g.

L = Luxury
X = Sport
G = Grand

or

GLX = Grand Luxury Sport.

And to whoever put that tag, well done look how big you are by slating it because it is not an RS, yet if it wasnt for some of the XR models we wouldnt have some of the RS models we love today, thats why we should care.

xr4is are ok but a bit weezy wit that old cologne.


xr4x4 in general are poo and should of been called 4x4 ghias.

lmao as u say and i was gonna put that the 2 litre 4x4 ones
with a dohc are the best to get
