Shes had loads of issues with her ears since before xmas and ended up cutting both of them down the sides from scratching and shaking her head etc, had to have 2 lots of antibiotic and they seemed to be heeling ok then the other day we noticed 1 of her ears had balloned up!! turned out a blood vessel had busrt and filled up with blood!!

Had to go to the vets today to have it operated on, they ended up doing more than they said they would but thats another story.......

Her ear is a bit of a mess now thou bless her

Kept getting more cuts on her ears and actually though it was or mally max that was doing it!! turns out cos she has such big ears and kept shaking it she was catching the cuts on the join in the head collar making them bigger!!!

She should make a good recovery thou fingers crossed, but she has small ear canals unfortunatly so wax etc builds up quite easily doh!

2 of my staffies had the same thing. ears ballooned up full of blood,apparently quite common.

 

shes just one of those dogs that likes to get into trouble unfortunatly

Shes staff X south african mastiff so if its common with them would explain it!! pain as her ears had actually healed up pretty much till that happend!!

 

Hope she makes a speedy recovery
