(rs focus)check for over heating tend to run a little hot, worth getting a ggr(graham goode racing) temp gauge and dash pod not cheap but worth it to stop risk of poppin headgaskets.
check water pump and cam belt are ok service regularly and you be fine cracking car for the money cant go wrong and plenty of mods can be done too, make sure you run it on 97 ron not 95 ron !!

No there aren't! Ford made a few mods throughout the life of the car, but in no specific order. Hence you could have an"early" car with stitched seats but no dimmer. Or, a "later" car with no stitched seats, but with dimmer , engine start, purple grommet...etc. But there are NO phases.

It can be fitted but they run much better on a recirc valve like a forge 007

Agree with above , i had series stalling problems thanks to my dv26, it went faulty, when i tuck it of and went back to standard, i felt there was a increase in power and the car ran much better. The only dv valve i would change to would be the forge007 now
