Ey, if your not downloading random shit and you are careful with what you download you'll be good
there is mac viruses, and mac's do crash
oh look, it crashed
Any program, regardless of platform, will crash if it's not been programmed properly. A car that handles and runs perfectly can still be crashed by a flid of a driver trying to defy the laws of physics.
Exactly, thats what i'm saying he says get a mac and it will never crash, but obviously it will, contrary to popular belief.
I've worked exclusively on Macs for the last 14 years. In the last 5 years I have not lost a single piece of work due to crashing. Sure it crashes occasionally, but the Mac has the decency to save where I'm at before closing the programme.
As for Mac Viruses. Yes, I think there was one, once.

If you have a mac, and want a RAW editor, either Aperture 3 or Lightroom 2.
for PC, Lightroom 2 hands down. Please note this is for a RAW editor.
For general photo stuff, a newish to top version of photoshop will do you fine, but it takes a while to learn things, but there are a great number of tutorials out there.
