Dave has replied to your PM.

You saw the picture of the part you were buying BEFORE you paid the money, you then questioned if the part was off an Escort Cosworth in the first place, so not quite sure what Dave is to do.

IMO you should have double checked what part you needed.

Secondly I cannot access a users PM's

Thirdly Is there anything you can do to sort this out as there has obviously been a misunderstanding?

It was not my car it was Dave's car, and after owning it for 11 years i'm sure he knew what parts were what on the car !!!! After all it took it apart and put it back together plenty of times !

Not really our problem if YOU bought the wrong part !!!!!

No but IMO it is your problem if the advert for this part was incorrect or misleading.

Hence why i need more information.

there was a photo of the part on the for sale post on here, so he saw exactly what he was buying before he agreed to buy it.

And now he is saying it is the wrong part ???

Now what is your exact problem as you requested the part in the photo above which is a escort cossie front clock front, so Dave sent you it as described, and now you are saying it is wrong?

Im going to lock this thread now.

I have to say though that IMO Dave/Helen have done nothing wrong, the part was as advertised and was off of Daves car.

Dave/Helen did not know the part was to be used on a ST Escos and really its down to the buyer to confirm exactly what he/she is buying.

Sorry, I am unlocking this as its getting a little confusing...

YUM is a SMALL TURBO T28 Car is it not?
Therefore, surely if selling parts from it that would NOT FIT a T28 car then the advert should have some sort of disclaimer such as:

Please Note:
This particular item is from the Large Turbo T34 model.

What exactly is the difference and could the difference be determined by looking at the picture?

I think it's impossible to tell the difference without seeing the dials and lights in situ.

Maybe an expert could. I couldnt. But should anyone have to? Should parts not be correctly and honestly advertised in the first place?

Tim

the top pic is my one

you can see were the cut is for warning lights
also mine has an air bag light on the bottom left, the one i bought didn't so its not out of an small turbo air bag model, this is why i asked on escort cosworth forum if there was a difference in big turbo to small turbo face

Now the guy did not look at the picture so thats my fault? and then sends me stupid pm and then complaims to the mods about me

If Passionford is really that upset about what l have done the take my account away from me easy

Cheers

Dave

In that case, I personally uphold your complaint that the part is not as described. I can see the missunderstanding, but the fact is, this part is not properly described.

As an example Dave,
If you were to sell the engine out of YUM, would you just put "Engine out of T28 Escos for sale" or would you elaborate and explain the differences between the standard one and the one your selling because its not the standard part?

Someone would get a shock if they tried to wire yours into their standard T28 engine bay wiring and fuel system . LOL

I broke yum and this was the clocks in the car simple

I owned the car for 11 years and it never had the clocks changed and my model of car was a small turbo
