Default Cant find a decent XR3i anywhere!

Thought these would be easier to find! Hope someone can help, the wife is looking for a mint mk4 XR3i hardtop or cabriolet. It seems the only ones we find have been chaved up or are up in Ireland or Liverpool and want around £4000 for them! Ideally she wants one thats unmodified and hasnt been welded and would love one with the half leather Recaros and lattice wheels I think these were on a G or H plate. If anyone has a mint one locked up in their garage (or knows of anyone) they would part with give me a call 07891 847921. Many thanks Rich

You'll be lucky. They tend to fall into two camps - modified, a bit tatty and cheap, or mint and hideously overpriced!

and I am sure over the years of "Cosworth" ownership... you'll be parted with more "fools money" than you would be with the XR

If you haven't got anything constructive or helpful to contribute to the thread, why do you bother?

In case the pair of you haven't noticed, Passionford is just that..... a car forum for people who enjoy Fords and have a common interest.....

If it was called Passion Cosworth I wouldn't have joined, but people like you seem to think that if it doesn't bear the RS Cosworth badge, it aint worth talking about.

At the end of the day, you think you're being funny, but unfortunately, you just aren't.

I disagree. The majority of people here will find it funny.

XR's were generally the lesser cars that weren't so desirable.

This isnt really passion cosworth at all. It's passionanythingdecent.com and hence 3i's are out

But you avoid my first question.... ie if you have nothing to say on the matter and you don't like the marque, why bother commenting?

Some of the threads are quite serious threads and people don't want people like you bringing them down.

Ok i'll try being "constructive".

Why does your wife want a 3i? Cant she aspire to an rs16i or an rst? I imagine with the right one they will hold money better and generally are a fucking shit load better a car than a 3i.

What is the car for and whats the budget?

We already have a S1 RS and she had a limited edition cab in pacifica blue and enjoyed it. I have suggested a FRST but she's not interested. We could prob go to about £1800 ish

S1 is a good start

FRST can be a cracking little car but they rust like fuck which is a real shame £1800 might be on the rough end of the scale at that price.

What do you need the car for? Are you considering 3i because its a ford and in budget?

because i can.....it combines the power of the cosworth with the solid build quality and ride you get from bmw. you wont experience either with a tin can xr3i.

I've never been a miserable fucker in my life, and I don't drive a lesser car, and as for banter free....... you really have no idea. Having said that, I do not agree with people bringing other people's choices down and ridiculing them for doing so.

Regardless of what's being said, you will obviously know better!!!
