Default fiesta 1.4 16v r reg non starter

i posted a problem last year still having same problem but worst now .i try to start the car i can hear a noise at the back (fuel pump?)it does not crank and little light on dash flashes rapidly .all other dash lights come on when the car does start it runs fine i was told by a garage that it was a blanket computer problem a would need all electronic parts replacing .at the cost of one thousand pound (are they taking the p)this is a intermitant flault and seems to be bad when weather is cold and damp i have had ecu tested and came back clear i have cleaned all earth wires and any connections i can find .i only have one key with car (black one ) is there a way of bypassing the imobiliser if that is the problem .some one help this car is to good to scrap any cant afford to buy a new one

Sounds like a immobiliser problem, assume it's a chipped key ?, if so wipe/rub it with a damp rag, as static build up on the key can cause issues.
