Need to get a speed sensor for my S1 EFi conversion,I am using FRST OFAB ecu, loom etc, Question is can I use a speed sensor from an XR2i or a mk4 efi xr3i or does it need to be the FRST speed sensor ? and does it fit the S1 gearbox ?

So long as it fits the box will be fine, doesn't matter where it comes from, it merely senses and gives a square wave signal, if it fits a crank sensor etc can be used.

It is the last part of the conversion I need to sort out, I have the crank sensor fitted to the block and the efi flywheel, Do I still need the speed sensor ?

 

I don't know with your ecu, but if it uses one it will need to have one on the install.
