Default 1998 Escort TD backbox question

This may sound like a silly question but do the petrol and diesel escorts have the same exhaust layouts? I want to fit a back box on to my td, not for performance as i know a back box wont do anything but just want it to look a little better. Having looked at my exhaust it seems to be one piece from the cat that includes the back box, i can only assume to fit an aftermarket back box you have to measure up and the rest of the system to meet the new back box. Looking on ebay the only boxes available are for gti's si's etc will one of these be ok?

Thanks for reading hope it makes sense

There are differences, but some are very minor, if going for a cat back pipe or back box, I would imagine the part is the same, but best bet pop into a exhaust place and check the part numbers in the book.
I had a mk4 escort hatch diesel and that had a escort van exhaust complete on it, the van had one box at rear where the hatch had two boxes, found this out when the exhaust snapped in two!!
