took engine out of the new RS tonight so tomorrow will be stripping the zvh down!!

dont know much about them and will see what the damage is inside!

 

whats the problem why you need to strip it down

 

bought it with the cambelt gone!!

 

ooww ya think you will find bent valves in the head and poss a cracked piston, if your on a buget might be cheaper finding a new engine and cvh would he cheaper i would think all depends on what you want out of it

 

im expecting to find bent valves!!!

basicly im not bothered about the engine too much as i bought it to sell the shell on, but if the engine is salvageable then ill rebuild it

 

cool on a winner then seems to be strip it down and find out iv got away with just puttin some new valves in a head befor now and the bottom end was blown to bits

 

same!! i had a 306 before now and blew a rod out of the side of the block! head was undamaged!!

 

quick update!

turns out that the head has over-sized valaves and is totally undamaged!!!

the pistons are new and undamaged

but the block has 2 holes in side, so i suspect that it has lost all of its oil! so shells will be needed!

the bottom end does still turn over freely however!!
i have a complete zetec sat in a lock up anyway so might split it and re block the zvh!! got a spare turbo at work too!!

anyone twigged onto where this is going!!!
