the rebuild begins (new pics 5/4/2010)
just got this restored shell after its been dry stored for 10 years

looks sweet, should have put in new galvanised core plugs, would of set the block off nicely!
You going EFI? jus I cant see the hole in the block for the CPS....thats not a huge prob though.

no but i even painted the little black bit on the altinator, matt black block an altinator bracket, starter motor is black/silver, inlet painted, fucked off my chrome rocker an had it powdercoated hammered black, even done sump an thermost housin lol, only did as i was waitin 4 funds for bits lol

I bet that looks really nice!
I do like tarted engines and bays (efiturbocab's looks sweet!) but I really cant be arsed to do it! lol
For me it's all about the technical side of things, my engine may not look pretty but it's been built to a really high standard and hopefully will last!

yh im usually the same m8 but i thought as i had vht paint sittin around i would do it while i had no money, free mod an kept me busy lol just means i now have to clean the bay to make it look good lol

it ok when you got it all out only doing because i had an engine to do up, got the car with out an engine so thought i tart it up befor it gose in as the car had been mosty restored

haven all all the inlet painted black 2 & rocker cover gearbox cradle anti-rollbar rear arms and what ever else i can lol

new samcos in red boost and water on there way and gearbox, hope to get the freshly painted inlet and rocker cover back 2day to get them on.

steam cleaned it down with oil remover primered it then painted it by hand. sump was removed and sand blasted it and spayed black.!!!!!!!!!!! looks cool good tuch when the bonet is up. in let and rocker cover being painted black to waiting for them to come back.

ah right i see.. did u just use normal primer? and did u use that high temperature paint or just hammerite? i want to paint mine bluee lol
