have bought new ones but cant remember which way they go round i.e if the metal side of the gasket goes towards the head or the manifold, does anyone know?

 

Im sure the metal side of the gasket goes toward's the head,don't hold me to that cause it was such a long time ago I did it.

 

No thinkin about it ask someone else cause I keep changing my mind,metal side towards manifold???I think

I take that back, my friend said to do it metal side to manifold so i phoned about 7 different tuners to find out for sure and they all said the same, metal to manifold. And its done that way because the metal side could scratch the ally head.
