Basicly the phone has had something spilled on it, was very wet and damp, i have cleaned it out and dryed it with a hair dryer and still no joy, it wont charge either and both front and inside screen are steamed up

we have ordered a new V525 to replace it, the main reason to get it working is we have pictures and voice recordings containing a family member that is no longer with us

any help guys?

 

only thing i could recomend is take to a proper phone repair place and get them to either get the important things off the phone onto another one or fix the phone so its working again

i know carphone warehouse do a repair service but i reckon theres better places out there

1stly, u'll need to get it completely apart.

then i would suggest laying the board alone and then all the other bits on a radiator for a few days.

if that doesnt fix it, and i presume the pics/voice u have on there are stored on the mainboard, its gonna be very costly to get the data off it.

hopefully, the above will work to the extent u can get the data off, failing that, look on ebay and get a faulty one for spares, and try and amalgamate the 2 to get ur one working.l

what you should have done is take the battery out quick and leave it to dry for a day or 2.

Leaving the battery in would have shorted the board

 

I didnt notice the fone was wet until just before i went to bed so i dont know how long it had been there.

A new phone is on the way, dont care about this one, just want the data off.
