Default Hello, V6 fiesta?

Hello, Im new to this forum and fords pretty much even though its all my dad and granda drives. Ive always had starlets and my 4x4 turbo one was my favourite.

All I want to know is does a 2.5 v6 mondeo/probe engine fit into a fiesta engine bay and what cutting needs done if any?

I know it will handle shite but im doin it for the novelty, havent seen it done before.

Any help will be very appreciated.

Cheers, Ryan

I know someone who put a 2.0 mondeo in a fiesta. It was one of them bubble si fiestas, i dont know how he did it tho, but it was rapid! The dumb arse didnt sort out his suspension or summet for the extra weight tho and basicly it just dropped in the end. Spent loads on that and ruined it, ended up with a little crappy citroen.

You do realise Mk3 and Mk3.5 Fiestas came fitted with 1.6 and 1.8 Zetecs, the 2.0 is pretty much a straight swap. Many people have done this and there is no need to uprate the suspension.

The V6 engine will JUST fit into a focus engine bay, so I imagine squeezing it into a fiesta bay will be a no-go, unless you are prepared to do some serious modification to the bodyshell!

Also says this about the conversion in the thread,

'From what he explained to me he had to fabricate some engine mounts, move radiator forward and cut the slam panel slightly to fit it. Then a bit of messing about to get the hydraulic clutch system plumbed in and that was about it really.'
