basically my mums had enough of her blackberry storm and bought herself a Iphone . so she dropped the storm round early so i can ebay it . but my mate turned up and he boke his phone last nite and said he will have it . now i can get it on and dial out on it etc . but i cant set up email address thing . nor can i get the browser to work or the face book app its got . says error in connection . so ive looked on the blackberry site for someway of sending the mms and internet settings etc like your normally do on a new phone but i give up . i cant find or figure out a poo on this thing

the weirdest thing is vodafone live works straight away . but he wants to be able to go on like google etc and facebook . and check his mail at yahoo etc . i know it wont be the instant email setup cos it isnt a blackberry tariff his on , vada said to the mail working when my mum first got it, she had to go on a blackberry tariff .

anyone able to talk me thru setting this thing up ?

Im on Orange and when I got mine they told me I could use it straight away.....what they failed to mention was that I needed a Blackberry add on to my tariff. Only found it out after spending a week on and off trying to set all its features up.

IIRC when you have the add on applied to your tariff you should be able to set up your email and Internet more or less straight away.

And the Facebook app is shite, I always used Facebook on the phone internet. The only thing its good for is that it allows you to upload pics to your Facebook account as soon as you have taken them from the picture menu.

If he isn't on the blackberry tariff it most likely won't work - and all web browsing would probably end up costing a bomb! Needs to contact Vodaphone
