I saw a Sierra today that had NO wing on it (around here that's rare) Very odd. But looking at it it dawned on me that a DTM style wing done right could look excellent.

Done "right" is the key here. There are plenty of ricey looking high top wings that don't cut it. I'm thinking big endplates and dual planes. Compact looking like the WRC wing on the Escos.

A single RS500 lower looks pretty good too, just looking for some ideas. As much as I love the RS500 wing my my car...today was the first day it looked dated to me.

 

It is bound to look dated, its a dated car.

Anything other than a standard 3dr or RS500 rear spoilers will look very, very stupid.

 

DTM spoiler get a grip!

 

I'm looking for something new, different. Make a suggestion rather than saying it's dumb.

The pictures I posted above are options that I DON'T want.

i know theres one on here who just has the lower RS500 spoiler and that looks nice.

Newer doesn't have to mean chav. It's easier to type chav and chuckle rather than contribute to a discussion as to updating a look.

My 3 door is not a cosowrth. It has a lot of cosworth parts on it but with the 500 wing off it I was struck at how dated the wing makes it. The car looked 10 years newer with the 500 bumper installed and no wing, but not "right" with no spoiler.

I guess it's too much to ask for an adult conversation when "chav" is the path of least resistance.

 

Your post does make one think of Sapphires, and when I think about one of those Fast & Furious wonky spoilers like you see on Hondas on a Sapphire Cossie...

Idea of a huge spoiler is to mimick what was succesful in motorsport, they've already got one fitted...

Nothing else would work IMO.
