Default cossie idle control valve advice please..

i took mine out and cleaned it and now i cant remember how many threads were on show on the threaded shaft with the little nut in the centre of the idle control valve...

ive wound it all the way to the bottom, but i dont think its right...

any help, also is it a good idea to use lock tight on the thread?

cheers

my car has been runing with out it for ages but it cuts out sometimes on a cold start which is annoying.. once its warm it idles at 900rpm perfect i just want it to keep running while i close the garage door etc..

so does anyone know how many threads should be on show before the nut i think from memory on my old saph the nut goes on about 5 up, but i'm not sure..

cheers

So long as you have say 3-4 threads showing and loctite should be fine, it moves up and down anyway so should not affect operation.

Measured it from the end of the thread to the top of the nut at 3.5mm if that helps!!
