Hi all, im new to here so be gentle!! Im building a Mk3 Escort and am having a few engine problems. The o.e. engine was scrap and i got a MK4 XR3i EFi engine and box F.O.C. Only problem being no ECU/ wiring loom etc. so i was gonna run her on carbs. I know its a lot of hassle but the reason i wanna keep it is cause i know the engine is 100% and also the head is ported and polished with a performance cam. Theres an electric pickup on the gearbox (im assuming for the timing/ecu) but i wouldnt be using it. Does this matter, or is it not important?
