Just as a break from car talk / moaning
What's been the best music gig you've ever been to?
Looking through the 'What are you listening to' thread it seems we all have a fairly varied taste in music.
I went to see Rammstein live in Manchester on Tuesday, it was by far and away the most epic gig i've ever been to! Someone in the crowd got a video of them doing 'Du Hast' - i was 10 metres away from the stage in the crowd

So come on then, that was mine - tell me yours

Al, if you're into that sort of music - have a look at Sonisphere http://uk.sonispherefestivals.com/ in the summer - Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Slayer, Papa Roach etc. - pretty good line up
Too many to choose from as i've been to a few hundred!
The Wildhearts @ Blackpool Riffs is up there though,Tiny venue,The whole crowd pissed and going mental,Lesbians down the front.
Jason and the scorchers @ Sheffield academey was great too.

the roadrunner tour a few years ago, violent delight-ill nino-36crazyfists and spineshank, followed closely by twelve tribes-chimaira-raging speedhorn, got elbowed so hard in the face in the circle pit that it split me mouth open but awesome nights.
Audioslave at the o2 Arena about 7 years ago has to be the all round best.
Download 2004 was an awesome weekend. Line-up was top drawer (Metallica, KoRn, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Soulfly, Machine Head, Electric Six, Slayer, Damageplan 36 Crazyfists...)
First time I saw Stone Sour at the Birmingham Academy was cool. Just a perfect mid-size venue and a high intensity show. They were supported by Saliva, who I always thought were OK, but they were spot on live. Got to be one of the best support bands I've seen.
And also the most recent time I've seen Stone Sour as well, which was at the Wolverhampton Civic. High intensity again, plus midway through I took a blow to the head, and just staggered out into the toilets in time to spark out. Came round about 2 minutes later sat on the bog with a pile of sick on the floor in front of me, and could hear them playing the track "Bother", which was pretty cool.
KoRn at the Wolverhampton Civic in 2008 was great as well. I'd seen them play some massive gigs packed with pyros and what not, but this was a totally stripped-down gig. Plus they played 2 of my favourite lesser known tracks from way way back, which I'd never known them play live before. Ticket price was more than double what I've ever known for a gig at the Civic, but well worth it.
Cypress Hill at Hammersmith. Crowd interaction was totally off the cuff and was so relaxed between tracks, but then totally insane while they were playing.
Hell Is For Heroes at the Civic the first time because I got knocked out, and was totally covered in blood, and got took backstage with the band as a kind of "reward", lol. And the last time at the Birmingham Barfly as it was their last ever tour, 2 gigs from the end and I just love them. It was in a small, intimate venue.
(hed) PE and OPM at the Academy II as it was the smallest venue I've ever been to, and was a truly unique "underground" atmosphere, and members of the bands were just walking around the floor like anyone else, even had a piss next to Jahred, lol!
Speaking of which, Guns N Roses at the NEC were top notch as well, and at that gig I had a piss stood next to Olof Mellberg!

My mate that came with me to Rammstein was moaning about the price (we paid Ł60 a ticket) saying how it would be better to just buy tickets for Sonisphere and see them play there.
When we came out of the MEN on tuesday he just looked at me and said 'worth every penny'
Either Pink Floyd in Paris or Guns'N'Roses in New York
Spike Island 1990 was pretty good too, but the sound was shit.

tbh, im not event madly into my trance/house stuff! I like it and listen to it a bit but Tiesto and SVD live blew me away, probably just the location/drink/company etc, anyone would enjoy it.
PVD is good too, never seen him live though, maybe this year for me.
I might have a download later, not listened to them for years but i used to quite like them.

mine was snoop dogg at nottingham ice arena for my 21st birthday i thought it was ausome till some knob head threw a glass bottle at him near the end of his set and he walked off
Off the top of my head, one of the best I've been to would have to be Black Sabbath at Aylesbury Civic Centre (Ozzfest warm up gig). Original lineup and only about 1000 people in the audience. I actually cried halfway through the set I was so happy.
havent been to as many gigs as id like to ,
but by far the best so far had to be counting crows with the goo goo dolls in support at bethel woods ( the original woodstock grounds in upstate new york )
lush green feild warm as hell with the sun going down , had my yank gf at the time with me ,
then ended up at the bar afterwards with all the lads from summercamp ( even got me end away on the way back )
the gig wasnt blow me away good, but the whole situation , place, comapny ect ect was just perfect ,
beef
bands i wanna see are acdc , white stripes , faithless ( missed the last gig ) and i reckon 30 sec to mars ,
beef
